Palmer Magri of Charlotte, North Carolina, is the former managing editor of the Queens University News Service. A multimedia storytelling major, Palmer is a 2024 magna cum laude graduate of the James L. Knight School of Communication. During her four years as an undergraduate, she reported, wrote, edited, produced video, and managed content for the news service.
Elvis Menayese of Cardiff, Wales, is a 2022 graduate of the James L. Knight School of Communication. Elvis majored in multimedia storytelling with a journalism concentration, and in English literature. He was a Knight summer scholar with the news service in 2021, and also competed as an athlete on the Queens soccer team.
Grace Wesoly of Greensboro, North Carolina, is a 2022 graduate of the James L. Knight School of Communication at Queens University of Charlotte. Grace was a Knight summer scholar with the news service in 2021, and also competed as an athlete on the Queens softball team.
Sam Carnes of Apex, North Carolina, is a 2023 graduate of the James L. Knight School of Communication at Queens University of Charlotte. Sam served as managing editor of the Queens University News Service, and as a Rogers summer scholar. She was recognized for her reporting on community issues including the influence of state government politicians in university curricula, the impact of the reversal of Roe v. Wade on university campuses, and Charlotte pedestrian walkability. Her story on Charlotte 911 emergency call response times was published on the front page of The Charlotte Observer.
Caroline Willingham is a 2023 graduate of the James L. Knight School of Communication at Queens University of Charlotte. Caroline served as managing editor of the Queens University News Service, as an intern with the Charlotte Journalism Collaborative, and was recognized for her reporting on community issues including emergency contraceptives on university campuses, affordable housing, and homelessness.
Kiarra Murrill of Charlotte, North Carolina, is a 2023 graduate of the James L. Knight School of Communication at Queens University. An athlete on the cheer squad, Kiarra also served as an intern with the news service in fall 2023.
Mona Dougani of Charlotte, North Carolina, is a 2021 graduate of the James L. Knight School of Communication at Queens University of Charlotte. Mona served as managing editor of the news service and as an intern with North Carolina Health News and with the Charlotte Journalism Collaborative.
Simone Feast of Raleigh, North Carolina, is a multimedia storytelling major in the James L. Knight School of Communication at Queens University of Charlotte. Simone is managing editor of the news service and was a 2023 Rogers summer scholar with the service.
Ellie Fitzgerald of Dublin, Ireland, is a 2023 graduate in multimedia storytelling in the James L. Knight School of Communication at Queens University of Charlotte. She was also a member of the Queens field hockey team.
Karsyn Sadler of Las Vegas, Nevada, is a communication and media studies major in the James L. Knight School of Communication at Queens University of Charlotte. Karsyn is also a midfielder for the Queen lacrosse team.
Devonte Thomas of Charlotte, North Carolina, is a multimedia storytelling major in the James L. Knight School of Communication at Queens University.
Casey Osiecki of New Bern, North Carolina, is a 2024 graduate of the James L. Knight School of Communication at Queens University of Charlotte. Casey was also a member of the Queens golf team.
April Little is a 2024 graduate in communication in the James L. Knight School at Queens University of Charlotte. April was a Rogers summer scholar with the news service in 2023 and also served as a multimedia producer for the Queens athletics broadcasting organization.
Vlada Maznytska of Rivne, Ukraine, is a 2022 graduate in multimedia storytelling at Queens University of Charlotte. Vlada was a Knight summer scholar with the news service, and also competed as an athlete on the Queens swimming team.
Jane Lowery of Tumwater, Washington, is a 2023 graduate in multimedia storytelling at Queens University of Charlotte. Jane competed as an athlete on the Queens dance team.
Nico Gomez of Charlotte, North Carolina, is a studied graphic design and marketing and is a 2024 graduate of Queens University of Charlotte.
Nicole Casarrubias of Charlotte, North Carolina, is a 2024 graduate of the James L. Knight School of Communication. Nicole was recognized with the Queens University News Service award for her work in summer 2023.
Maggie Dineen of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is a Spanish and professional writing major at Queens University of Charlotte. Maggie was a Rogers summer scholar with the news service in 2023. In 2024, Maggie won a Projects for Peace grant to document the voice of migrants in Guatemala.
Joe Wilwerding of Des Moines, Iowa, is a conservation biology major at Queens University of Charlotte. He is also a member of the Queens triathlon team.
Finian Curran of Charlotte is a 2024 graduate of Queens University of Charlotte, with a major in conservation biology.
